BAPTISM can be defined as a spiritual purification of the believers through immersion or effusion or cross signing by water. It is also a symbolic dying with Jesus [when deep into the water] and resurrected [when raised from the water] with christ.
TODAY, many people have truly be hearing about this but are somewhat scared of it and some don't believe it well my advice is we should always check out the Bible before we do stuffs that seems bigger than us for answers.
Similarly Baptism is referred to as symbolic washing away of the sins of their candidates finanly, it is a Christian right of initiating the concert into the membership of the local church. A church is a congregation of believe or followers of Jesus.

6. To show a sign of forgiveness for repented sinners.
