TOPIC : Grandfather's 80th Birthday Party. 


This is something we haven't posted before it's called a comprehension I do hope you know what it means well a Comprehension generally means massive understanding, The totality of intensions, that is to say, attributes, characters, marks, properties, or qualities, that the object possesses, or else the totality of intensions that are pertinent to the context of a given discussion.. Let's take a look at the very first Comprehension we would be treating 👇

It was Friday, 8th of February. The sun was up very early. Young Dare woke up as early as 6:30am. He got out of bed and rushed into grandfather's room without knocking. This made Grandfather open his eyes. But before he could say a word, Dare hugged him and greeted, Good Morning Sir! In a low voice. And suddenly he shouted, "Happy Birthday, Grandpa!" I didn't sleep well all night because I was dreaming about your 80th birthday party!. 

Grandfather thought it was only a dream. He whispered to Dare, "I am too old for a party. Birthday parties are for children". Dare became sad. He was looking forward to having big pieces of cake and lots of foods and drinks.

While Grandfather was having his usual rest after his late breakfast, Darr's father and mother asked some boys to clean up the house and decorate it. Some friends bought a lot of food and a big birthday cake to the house. Chairs were arranged and a Juju dance band also arrived. Darr's two uncles and an aunt arrived from lagos and Abuja with some of their children. They bought presents and more food and drinks. 

At about 2:30pm. When Grandpa woke up, all his children and grand-children went into his room and greeted, "Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday Grandpa". They gave him cards and presents. He was very happy to see them all. When he walked into sitting-room, he was even more surprised to see all the decorations and the drinks. Then he suddenly remembered Darr's dream about a party and he knew that Dare's dream had come true.

By 4pm. Guests had arrived. Some brought presents, Grandpa was dressed up in a new complete agbada outfit, a present from his youngest son. The party started with prayers. The guests ate and drank. The band played and Grandpa started to dance on his chair. Then he slowly got up and danced, first with Dare's mother and then with his only daughter. Others joined in after. The big cake was put in front of the house. Grandfather was surrounded by his children many more years. He cut the cake and shared it among the guests. The drinking, eating and dancing continued till 8pm. When the party came to an end because Grandpa couldn't keep a late night. Grandpa thanked them all and returned to his room. But by the time everything was cleared, it was well after 10pm. Dare went to bed feeling very happy but tired.
