BIOLOGY - LECTURE 1 
TOPIC : DISEASES OF THE KIDNEY. 

Happy Sunday everyone hope you all went to church today. Wow today is acctually the first Sunday of this month I guess HAPPY NEW MONTH as well.. Let's kick start today's lecture, the topic for This very first course "Biology" is "The diseases of the kidney" after this lecture you would know the diseases of the kidney, the effect of each disease and remedies for each diseases as well. Pls I really need you guys to read carefully and understand. Now let's begin 👇

🔰 DISEASES OF THE KIDNEY.

1. Diuresis : Diuresis is the failure of the kidney tubules to re-absorb water from the glomerular filtrate which leads to excess urine. It often occurs in patients of diabetes.

➡️EFFECTS: It leads to loss of weight, emeanciation, excretion of large amount of urine and high thirst for a lot of water.
➡️REMEDIES : Surgical treatments and use of drugs [diuretics].

2. NEPHRITIS : Another disease of the kidney, its the condition whereby inflammation and porosity of blood vessels in the bowman's capsules leading to the inability of carrying out of ultra-filtration completely which there by cause most useful materials to pass into the urine. Nephritis can also be caused by bacteria infection.

➡️EFFECTS : Inflammation of the kidney, fever, weakness or body pains and presscence of amino-acids in the urine.
➡️REMEDIES : Dialysis [also called Artificial Kidney], kidney transplant, use of antibiotics.

3. KIDNEY STONE : Kidney stone is another disease of the kidney that is due to the pressence of diseases growth within the tubule which narrowed the urine passage, making the removal of urine difficult and painful.

➡️EFFECTS : Painful urination, abdominal pain, high blood pressure, fever, blood in urine and obstruction in urine passage.
➡️REMEDIES : Obviously Surgery to remove the stones, less in take of calcium,less of protein, avoid excess loss of water from the body.

4. DROPSY OR OEDEMA : This is another disease of the kidney, its the inability of the cell of the bowman's capsule to absorb water from the blood in the tubule leading to the swelling of some part of the body like the face and the ankles.

➡️EFFECTS : Constant weakness, abdominal pain, sluggishness, swelling of the face and ankles.
➡️REMEDIES : Reduction in the intake of water, kidney transplant when critical.
